{"id":10930,"date":"2025-09-30T10:24:07","date_gmt":"2025-09-30T08:24:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ki.dk\/?p=10930"},"modified":"2025-09-30T10:24:08","modified_gmt":"2025-09-30T08:24:08","slug":"welcome-to-our-new-student-assistant-salome","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ki.dk\/en\/welcome-to-our-new-student-assistant-salome\/","title":{"rendered":"Welcome to our new student assistant Salome"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are pleased to welcome Salome Hedderich as a student assistant and junior engineer at KI.<br\/><br\/>Salome is originally from southern Germany, but has studied as a Bachelor of Engineering in Denmark at VIA University College in their Department of Civil Engineering. During her studies, she did an internship at COWI, where she also worked as a student assistant \u2013 and thus already has solid experience with both steel and concrete structures. <br\/><br\/>She has worked with both renovation projects and large industrial buildings \u2013 and it shows. Salome is particularly strong in Robot Structural Analysis, which we at KI use extensively and teach several times a year. That competence has already come into play on her first assignments with us \u2013 from single-family houses to complex pharma projects, where she has contributed to sustainability analyses, among other things.  <br\/><br\/>Today, Salome is studying for a master&#8217;s degree at DTU (Technical University of Denmark) and thus combines the best of both worlds: a strong theoretical knowledge and practical experience in an everyday life where she is constantly developing. She herself puts it this way: <br\/><em>&#8220;What I love most about engineering is that there is always something new to learn. You&#8217;re never done.&#8221;<\/em><br\/><br\/>We recognize the professional curiosity \u2013 and appreciate it. Because at KI, you don&#8217;t come for the easy solution.
