We are pleased to welcome Mark Mizzi, who has just joined KI Monitoring as a student assistant. <\/p>\n\n
Mark comes from Malta and is currently pursuing his Master\u2019s degree in Computer Science at the University of Copenhagen. He has a strong interest in high performance computing and works particularly with CPU-optimized data processing. In his bachelor\u2019s project, he focused on error correction codes \u2013 a method used to recover data from unstable signals. It may sound a bit nerdy (and it is), but this is exactly the kind of expertise that makes a difference when working with sensor data. <\/p>\n\n
At KI Monitoring, Mark is already involved in several exciting projects, including the analysis of natural frequencies in wind turbines \u2013 the type of information our users ultimately need in order to assess structural health. He is also contributing to our long-term work on the Great Belt Bridge, which we have been monitoring for more than 8 years. <\/p>\n\n
Mark says: “Denmark is a really good place for international students, and my job at KI Monitoring harmonizes very well with my studies.” <\/em> <\/p>\n\n We are very happy to have Mark on the team \u2013 both for his technical skills and his curious approach to understanding the real world through data. <\/p>\n\n At KI Monitoring, we specialize in structural and geotechnical monitoring through our cloud platform Senmos.
