Energy Excellence Award – “National Grid for the T-pylon \u2013 a new radical design of high voltage electricity pylons for the UK”<\/p>\n

The winners of the Energy Institute (EI)’s Awards 2015 were announced earlier this month\u00a0at a ceremony in London. Among the winners were our project the, T-pylon, with the award for “Energy Excellence”.\u00a0The Energy Institute is the professional body for the energy industry in the United Kingdom, developing and sharing knowledge, skills and good practice towards a safe, secure and sustainable energy system.<\/p>\n

“The EI Awards promote the best initiatives and draw attention to the excellence demonstrated by organisations and individuals on a daily basis. This year\u2019s award winners focus on sustainability projects that make a real difference to society, alongside proactive safety initiatives that contribute to the safety of our people.” –\u00a0Louise Kingham OBE FEI, Chief Executive, Energy Institute<\/p>\n

The T-pylon is designed in a collaboration between Bystrup Architects<\/a> and Krabbenh\u00f8ft & Ingolfsson as consulting engineers for National Grid (UK). Read more about the project here.<\/a><\/p>\n
