Kristian&#8217;s background is a bit different from our other engineers. He completed\u00a0his Master&#8217;s in civil engineering from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) in 2011 after handing in\u00a0his thesis <em>&#8220;Modelling of segmental tunnel lining considering joints and ring interaction &#8211; numerical and analytical approaches&#8221;. <\/em>He\u00a0<span style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">has previously worked at COWI Tunnel and Underground structures, and has solid experience working with structural construction and geotechnics.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Kristian&#8217;s first couple of weeks have been eventful with lots of new impressions and assignments. Here with us he will change focus a bit and\u00a0has already started work on a silo project in collaboration with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.disagroup.com\/en\/sites\/disa\/content\/disa_home.aspx\">DISA<\/a>. He is happy to meet the new challenges head on, and says that he finds many similarities between steel structure design and his former field of geotechnics.
