A timber masterpiece
Wisdome Stockholm is currently taking shape in the courtyard of Tekniska Museet. On the outside, a stunning wooden structure that pushes the limits of technological innovation; on the inside, cutting-edge technology. The wooden dome within is the focal point. Inside the dome, visitors will be completely immersed in 360° 3D projections that surround them from all sides.
Flexible and stable weather protection
During construction, the site has been covered with a SiteCover tent to provide weather protection to the wooden structure. When working with timber, keeping moisture out is extremely important.
The Sitecover tents are designed to withstand all the same conditions as a permanent building according to Eurocode – including conditions such as heavy snow, wind and rain. This system is not only more comprehensive than traditional construction coverage, but it is also much faster to install. The self-supporting, flexible system with telescopic steel legs and an umbrella-like roof can be installed up to three times faster than traditional solutions. The Sitecover system is built with flexibility and stability in mind.
The tent used to cover the Wisdome was 3 by 4 modules or 58 meter long and 43 meter wide, with a crane hook height at 20 meters. Since the new building was so close to the existing museum, one side of the tent had to be kept open.
Our role
