KI composite (slim-floor) beams
The KI composite (slim-floor) beam is optimized in terms of weight, and designed for stability during erection and detailed with openings for rebars in the deck. All beams are designed for strength and stiffness and verified for fulfilment of the vibration criteria when subject to human-induced excitation.
KI composite columns
Composite columns offer a number of advantages compared to traditional steel- or concrete columns; larger load carrying capacity and robustness, direction connections to adjoining beams and in-built fire resistance.
Composite slabs
Composite slabs are characterized by a steel trapezoidal deck, which acts as permanent scaffolding during the construction phase and as concrete reinforcement in the final concrete deck. By adding additional re-bars, the composite deck can be verified to fulfil fire requirements. Composite decks are often used in industrial structures, but also in residential building and offices.
Vibrations and comfort
The demand for vibration serviceability of long-span steel- and steel-concrete composite structures are continuously increasing. We offer all the full range of vibration- and serviceability assessment in accordance with current standards, guidelines and best practices. This applies to new designs as well as existing structures.
