Last Friday we had our annual Christmas party (or in Danish: julefrokost) at the office. We of course stayed true to several Danish Christmas traditions including mulled wine (gløgg) and ebelskiver (æbleskiver), the present game (pakkeleg) and all the classic dishes served in the midst of this year’s Tivoli winter wonderland. Since we are an engineering firm, we also added a very appropriate challenge to the mix: the spaghetti and marshmallow tower challenge! Each team had 10 minutes to build as high a tower as possible, which could stand on its own for at least 10 seconds – see the more or less impressive results below.
For the present game everyone had to bring a couple of small presents, which we then played dice for. Needless to say the game was as fun as most of the presents were hilarious and useless.
10 minutes of pure concentration was at the very least the result of the spaghetti and marshmallow tower challenge. Some of the towers reached for the skies, while others stayed very grounded…
