The new footbridge and promenade Landgangen in Esbjerg is on its way. Last week the local paper Ugeavis Esbjerg went out to document the progress of the project. Read more about Landgangen here.
The text from the paper read:
“Progress is being made, and the future connection between city and habour in Esbjerg is slowly on its way. This is what the site looked like the other day, when photographer Tue Sørensen from Ugeavis Esbjerg went to visit and photograph the site from different angles. The project has two main elements. The promenade along Havnegade and a new connecting bridge from Havnegade and down to the docks, which offers places to sit, pathways and vantage points for bikers and pedestrians. The bridge will have an unusual shape and a total length of 280 meters and will be made of corten steel. The construction is handled by the building- and contracting company Jorton A/S with engineers MOE and Krabbenhøft & Ingolfsson as consulting engineers. COBE architects are responsible for the design.”
