A big welcome to our new student assistant in KI Monitoring Simon Pontoppidan. Simon has a bachelor’s degree in Artificial Intelligence and Data from DTU (Technical University of Denmark) and is now studying for a master’s degree in Autonomous Systems. At KI, Simon’s focus will be on implementing machine learning and AI in our advanced cloud platform, Senmos, which effectively collects, analyzes and visualizes data from sensors such as displacement sensors, corrosion sensors and weather stations – including data from the Great Belt Bridge and the old Little Belt Bridge.
Although Simon is a programmer, he also finds it exciting to work with User Experience and the user side of software. “It’s good to see the whole system and not just the code”, he says. Simon is already working on improving the user experience in Senmos together with our UX designer and programmers with an intelligent chatbot that will help our users quickly and efficiently get started with the platform.
We are happy to have such a skilled and committed programmer as Simon on the team, and we look forward to seeing everything he accomplishes in our monitoring department.
