2021 has been a busy and exciting year for KI so far. This has given us the opportunity to welcome not just one, but three new talented engineers to the team this March: Stefan Kondic, Cristiana Soares, and Pedro Deus, who all bring immense and valuable experience to the table.
Stefan Kondic
Stefan has a master’s degree in structural engineering from the University of Belgrade in Serbia, where he graduated in 2018. In his professional work, both during his studies and in the years following his graduation, Stefan developed high level skills within 3D modelling, detail modelling and workshop documentation of steel structures, as well as project management. His experience comes mostly from the oil and gas industry, which is one of the reasons he is excited to have joined a small and diverse company like KI, in which he will get a chance to work on a wide range of projects.
With his experience Stefan is a great addition to our 3D department, where he has already started working on one of our parking houses. At the moment he is still working from his native Serbia but is planning to relocate to Denmark as soon as possible. We very much look forward to having him in the office and say our proper hellos, and we are delighted to have him at KI.
Cristiana Soares
Cristiana is from Portugal and holds a master’s degree in civil engineering with a focus on steel and composite structures from the University of Coimbra, Faculty of Sciences and Technology. She has more than 7 years of experience working with several high-profile projects within both steel and concrete design, such as stadiums, airports, and large commercial and public buildings all over the world. Her expertise ranges over structural design, global and local analysis, 3D modelling and project coordination just to name a few areas.
Although Cristiana has lived and worked in both Portugal and London, she is not new to Copenhagen, where she has been working for more than a year before applying with KI. She likes the pace of the city and the Danish work/life balance a lot, and she was attracted to KI first and foremost because of our big and interesting projects. Her great experience will be a huge asset to KI, where she has now started work on the Northeastern Amager school project, for which she will be carrying out steel beam design and footfall analysis. We are extremely happy to have her onboard.
Pedro Deus
With more than 13 years of experience, Pedro is a well-rounded and skilled structural engineer and project manager. Pedro is from Portugal, where he graduated with a master’s degree in structural engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico in Lisbon. Throughout his career he has worked on a large number of high-profile international projects such as the Google and Bloomberg headquarters in London, a complex and beautiful concrete cathedral in Ghana and many other complex and interesting buildings all over the world. Pedro has solid experience within both steel and concrete design as well as project management, programming, and FE analysis.
Pedro knows Copenhagen well, after working here for more than a year after residing in London for 8 years. He has spent most of his career working for large companies, which is why he is now very excited to join a smaller team with greater flexibility and a more flattened company structure. In KI Pedro will be stepping into the role of senior project manager, and he has already joined the team working on the Fehmarnbelt project. We are excited that Pedro has chosen to join KI and we have no doubt that his experience will be a great asset to the company.
A big welcome to our three new colleagues – we can’t wait to get to know you better, and we are very happy to have you with us.
