On September 1st, we were very pleased to welcome Frederik Hvelplund Uhre as the newest addition to our engineering team. Frederik has worked for the last 2 years at Krabbenhøft & Ingolfsson as a student assistant, where he has contributed to a large number of projects both within steel, concrete and geotechnical engineering, by building FEM models, systematizing calculations in spreadsheets or programming smart solutions. Frederik himself has expressed that he has been delighted by the wide variety of his tasks and the opportunity to use knowledge from so many different courses.
Frederik has just defended his Master’s thesis “Estimation of Drag and Inertia Coefficients of Offshore Structures using Operational Modal Analysis” at DTU, where, in collaboration with our other former student assistant Johan Bech Husgard, he investigated and simulated the influence of waves on offshore structures. The project was rewarded with the highest possible grade, which simply confirmed our knowledge that our study assistants are both skilled and hardworking.
In his new role as a construction engineer Frederik will work on several different projects within concrete, steel and monitoring. As a newly qualified engineer, we in K+I see it as very important that he be allowed to try forces with multiple departments. This way, he gets a broad knowledge as well as influence on which direction he wants to specialize in.
We are both happy and proud to have a skilled engineer like Frederik on the team.
