At KI, we know that a good working environment doesn’t just happen on its own. It takes active effort – listening to one another, developing our culture, and creating space for honest dialogue about what works and what we can improve.
That’s why, once a year, we bring the entire company together for a theme day focused on our core values, mental health and workplace well-being. The aim is to strengthen our sense of community, reflect on who we are – and ensure that our internal HSE organisation focuses on the right areas.

This year, we went to Legoland in Billund, starting the day with a joint bus trip followed by a team-based “puzzle run” through the park. The activity required both collaboration and creativity – and was a great way to energise everyone after the journey.
After lunch, we joined the “Bridge Builders” workshop at Hotel Legoland. Using LEGO bricks as a tool, we explored and discussed KI’s values in smaller teams. The outcome was both meaningful conversations, new insights – and some impressive (and slightly quirky) constructions.
We ended the day in Miniland with a visit to the exhibit about the Fehmarnbelt Fixed Link. Our director Einar, who has worked closely on the project, shared some technical background and personal experiences, before we split into small groups to talk about what we think works well at KI – and what could work even better.
We are proud of the culture we’ve built – where no one is left to solve challenges alone, and where collaboration and mutual support are part of everyday life. But we also know that it requires ongoing effort. Our annual theme day is an important part of that.

A big thank you to all our colleagues for your energy and engagement – and to Hotel Legoland for hosting a day that was both fun and meaningful.
